An introvert coming to terms with being a "people person." A mostly self-educated, vagabondish, multi-disciplinary, polyglot, steampunk enthusiast, carnival junkie, Rogue Genius artist/cultural scholar/semiotician/something or rather with a penchant for the surreal and slightly morbid, usually armed with a camera.

I am truly blessed to live a life surrounded by beautiful, intelligent, and talented people who inspire me with what they create and say; thus, I travel a lot, see/work a lot of burlesque, bellydance, art, and theatre shows and cultural events. Fear not, there will be photos. No, I don't sleep much.

Born in Japan, raised in Korea and the U.S., educated globally. I'm multi-racial, multi-cultural, and fairly well-travelled. I was raised Mahayana Buddhist, both in Chogye and Taego Order. I have an on-going love/hate relationship with both Korean and American culture and do examine them both critically. Most of this examination will be based on my own experiences and me making sense of how I react to the things around me a la culture and traditions. I feel that if I can't sort myself out and get into my own brain, then I can't approach these topics outside of myself and contribute in any way that is meaningful. Take it as you will. That said, when I write things about culture and politics and if I have written something that is inaccurate or problematic - call me out. Please.

Graduated college with degrees in Intercultural Communication and General Semantics & Semiotics.

Prone to bouts of silliness with an irreverent sense of humour, so be warned: things may get a little zany in here. While I have a deep appreciation for "high art" and "high culture," I will proudly and shamelessly admit and embrace my love of tacky pop culture.

While I learnt the Queen's English, living in California has made me prone to use of the words "dude" and "hella", and I use them unapologetically.

Worker in the mental health field by day, hobbyist photographer and filmmaker by night. More than anything, I like to think I am in the business of connecting people with similar visions to create amazing things. Best job ever? You bet.

And yes, I love baseball. And good tea.

loves tea
lives tea
leaves tea?

"I gave my life to become the person I am right now. Was it worth it?" -Richard Bach

A Note on F-Listing and Privacy: I am pretty private and this journal is almost completely friends only, but I enjoy and welcome meeting new people. However, if you wish to add me, please message me and introduce yourself. I find silent f-listing to be a little creepy, especially considering 98% of my posts are locked, and I like to know with whom I am interacting. Also, I used a lot of filters over which you have no choice to opt in or out which are based on certain social circles but also how well I know you/how much I trust you.
